Carbohydrate day.

Start everyday with fruit for breakfast and drink lot’s of water.

Eat Carbohydrates only on this day. You can season with spices and tomato sauces. This is the day to have that piece of cake you’ve been fancying!

Carbohydrate Foods – some are also starch foods. Because of the calorific value of carbohydrates remember to watch your portions.

* brown rice
* chickpeas
* lentils
* nuts
* oats
* parsnips
* potatoes
* root vegetables
* sweet corn
* wholegrain cereals
* wholemeal breads
* wholemeal cereals
* wholemeal flour
* wholemeal pasta
* yams.
* biscuits, pastries and cakes
* pizzas
* sugary processed breakfast cereals
* white bread
* white flour
* white pasta
* white rice.
* biscuits, cakes and pastries
* chocolate
* honey and jams
* jellies
* brown and white cane sugar
* pizzas
* prepared foods and sauces
* soft drinks
* sweets and snack bars.

Carbohydrates are an ideal source of energy for the body. This is because they can be converted more readily into glucose, the form of sugar that’s transported and used by the body.

You can eat fruit all day but wait for one hour before you have your meal.

    how can you only have carbs on the cards day when alot of carb food has sarch in and vice versa.

    Stuart, yes it is a bit of a grey area. I usually say that starchy things like rice and potatoes are good for the starch day and the carbs day is stuff like pasta, bread, pizza. Just remember to keep the calories and fat down and it should be ok.
